One such example is rapper Shawnna when she was in the I nfamous Syndicate. Growing up in the same neighborhood, No I.D. Mentored Kanye and Shawnna’s brother, fellow producer Icedrake. Kanye supplied three tracks for the group, creating some of his earliest mainstream work.After the Infamous Syndicate broke up, Kanye continued to work with Shawnna, who had found a new home with Ludacris’ Disturbin’ Tha Peace clique.
Besides producing on her first album, Kanye also originally created the hit song “Gold Digger” for the star. However, Shawnna passed on the track, and the rest is history.

Infamous Syndicate was a female rap group from Chicago, Illinois consisting of friends. They released only one album before they were dropped by their label Relativity Records and then split, 1999's Changing The Game. Rashawnna Guy and Lateefa met at Lateefa's 17th birthday party in 1997. After scoring local radio play with their demos, they signed with Relativity Records, who released their lone LP, Changing the Game, in 1999. The album rose to #18 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and #50 on the R&B charts on the strength of the hit single 'He.
